On March 31, 2022, Dr. Purnaka L. de Silva, member of the International Advisory Council of the International Academy for Multicultural Cooperation was named College Adjunct Faculty Teacher of the Year by Seton Hall University in New Jersey. Dr. de Silva was awarded this honor by Katia Passerini, Ph.D., Provost and Executive Vice President of Seton Hall University in recognition of his “exceptional leadership and achievement in teaching” at the Seton Hall School of Diplomacy and International Relations. In addition to his role at Seton Hall, Dr. de Silva is the Director of the Institute for Strategic Studies and Democracy, Malta.

Purnaka L. de Silva, Ph.D., is Adjunct Professor, School of Diplomacy and International Relations at Seton Hall University, New Jersey, and Director, Institute for Strategic Studies and Democracy (ISSD) Malta. He has over thirty-years-experience in conflict and peace studies—with special focus on political violence, paramilitaries, counterterrorism, and transnational security, as well as the role of diplomacy within the United Nations system.
