The Closing Ceremony for the MLK Beloved Community Convergence with the fifth Ceremony of 22 Womens' Prayers was held on 1/17/22. Audrey Kitagawa, President and Founder of The International Academy for Multicultural Cooperation was one of the 22 women to share a prayer during this special ceremony. The web of prayers that were co-created illuminated and wrapped around our Mother Earth like a beautiful shawl, bringing us all closer together in the Beloved Community that Dr. King envisioned and dedicated his life. Brother, Chief Phil Lane Jr., shared the History of the Ceremony of 22 Women of Mother Earth that began on World Water Day, March 22, 2016, continued February 6, 2020, when 22 women from 20 Faith Traditions from around Mother Earth, prayed together at Megiddo, also known as Armageddon, to end War. This Prayer was shared for the third time during, “Enlightening Our Way Together,” December 19, 2021. In honor of the vision and prayers of Dr. King, these Ceremonies were dedicated to “Becoming Beloved Community and the Oneness and Unity of Our Human Family.” As well, Dr. King was the greatest supporter of Native Americans outside the Native American community in history. In the middle of our Ceremonies, A Global Silent Minute, united our hearts across distance, both sides of the veil, Silence as Action for Global Cooperation, Peace and Freedom.
