The Interfaith Institute of Long Island gathered a group of medical and faith-based participants on March 20, 2021 to discuss a sensitive and important topic -- The Ethical Dilemma and Modern Medicine with focus on DNR- Do Not Resuscitate. The session was organized and moderated by Dr. Bhadra Shah and speakers included Dr. Faroque Khan, Dr. Shah, Audrey Kitagawa, JD, Rabbi Randy Sheinberg, Rev. Donna Marie Field, R.N. and Rev Swami Sarvapriyananda, who shared their views of the sensitive spiritual and ethical issues surrounding decisions to terminate artificial cardio-pulmonary life support.
